Coaching, Study, Qigong
When I practice qigong, I feel more peace and ease, and my body functions better.
What makes qigong different from some other modalities like acupuncture or reiki is that one performs qigong on or for oneself. It is not strictly-speaking possible for anyone to do qigong for you.
Qigong masters can project and direct another’s qi, and I am not a qigong master, but I study and certify directly from them (see below). I encourage you to find qigong masters to take classes with. The philosophy and mechanics come from deep expertise, and yet you should feel empowered knowing that you manage your exploration and flow of qi in your practice.
Qigong routines come from different lineages, and I study primarily at the Ling Gui International Qigong Healing School now based in Portland, Oregon. Qigong that focuses on organ systems and health concerns, both preventative and active, is called medical qigong. I also learn meditative and alchemical practices. Any medical concerns you have, you must discuss with a healthcare provider.
