Summer☀️Club: The Kurdish Women’s Movement: History, Theory, Practice by Dilar Dirik
In-person, Portland, OR area
It’s not something that makes the news cycle here in the US, but if you’ve ever thought to yourself that our patriarchal, predatory, and imperialist systems and patterns are a bunch of BS you want to leave behind, people around the globe are thinking the same things and there are actually decades of study and practice that center women’s liberation in “the Middle East” or the SWANA region (Southwest Asia and Northern Africa). Asking yourself why you’ve never heard of the Kurdish Women’s Movement is just the beginning. Let’s study together to receive these hard-won lessons, dig into our own context, and imagine if not determine what we can do to increase autonomy and freedom for people of all genders here. This group is local to the broader Portland, OR area, hopefully to have an in-person component.
Open in the Portland, OR area. Register your interest or send questions to heartcoachiris@proton.me

Fall🍂Club: The Speech of the Grail: A Journey Toward Speaking that Heals and Transforms by Linda Sussman
Remote, open to all, $60 for 10 meetings
I have an abiding interest in the Grail Quest, and I’m not the only one. Versions, characters, and intentions proliferate and this book accompanies Wolfram’s Parzival. I really love this book because it is not just analysis and analogy but employs practice and embodiment. I hope to be joined by some special guests! Dates TBD but we will probably start in September.

Winter❄️Club: Only Alive on Sundays by Kim Rashidi
Remote, open to all, Sundays TBD
A novella written using tarot cards in the process. I’ll admit tarot has never clicked with me, however this should be a fast and fun read. We could be feeling all sorts of ways in the holiday season, but come join me for book talk…on Sundays. Dates TBD.
